  12. I have an A3000 with an a2065 and a PC with an NE2000.
  13. I have been trying (in vain) to get the damn things talking to each
  14. other over my local network... (And I thought it would be straight
  15. forward - well it is but...)
  16. I am positive that the hardware (cabling and connectors) are correct.
  17. I am using a T-connector and a 50ohm terminator on each end with a 10m
  18. BNC cable connecting the two together.
  19. I have tried a variety of TCP/IP stacks including Amitcp4 and AS225 on
  20. the Amiga and WfW Tcp/IP and Trumpet on the PC and all possible
  21. combinations.

  23. My concerns are that I initially got the a2065 in the A3000 when I
  24. purchased the computer 2nd hand. Unfortunately I did not get any
  25. documentation or software with it so I am not sure that the AS225 was
  26. working properly. (if anyone has any of this, please give me an email
  27. back). The a2065 has two different ethernet connectors - the coaxial
  28. and the 15-pin connector. Perhaps there is a jumper that is setting
  29. the 15-pin connector as the default connector? Is this possible or is
  30. it auto-detecting?

  32. In both cases I can 'ping' each computer to itself ie, ping the A3000
  33. from the A3000. I would suspect that pinging the same computer does
  34. not send a signal down the cable???? However nothing else works. I
  35. cannot even ping the other computer - ie Ping the A3000 from the Pc
  36. and vice-versa.
  37. I suspect that the A3000 side is the 'bad' end but I guess I am not
  38. really sure...

  40. Could anyone help please? I have been trying this for a couple weeks
  41. and have run out of ideas?
